The Krakow Market Square "Rynek Główny" is one of the largest medieval squares in Europe. It is the city's gravitational point and the beginning of all major roads. If you want to live in the historic part of the city, you can hardly find a better place than hotels in Krakow Main Square. Its construction roots back to 1257, and the buildings surrounding it count at five-six centuries. Each of them is a skillfully constructed architectural boon preserved from the Renaissance and Baroque periods with attics, portals, and galleries of courtyards. The main square's sights, in addition to the market itself, are the Town Hall Tower, the Church of St. Wojciech, the monument to Adam Mickiewicz, the Zbaraski Palace, and, of course, St. Mary's Church.
